Kungumqondo ophusile ukuthi intaba yaseSandlwana kufanele ibe yindawo ehloniphekile kubantu base-Afrika. Ifanele ukuba yindawo lapho bonke abantu, hhayi uZulu kuphela, uma befuna ukukhuthazeka kulokho abafuna kwenzeke empilweni yabo kuphumelele, kofanele beze kule ntaba ukuzokhuleka bathole ugqozi kanye nentshisekelo yokuphumelela eyakhonjiswa uZulu ngesikhathi ecoboshisa amaNgisi.

Kukhombisa ukuthi uma wonke umuntu engangenwa ugqozi uyosuka amagqoza azinikele, ahlabane njengoba kwahlabana amabutho eSILO eSandlwana.     Kuhlala kuyisilonda ukuthi yini eyangena ezingqondweni zabantu baKwaZulu.     Umehluko phakathi kwethu namaNgisi kanye nama-Ayirishi ukuthi thina kasinandaba nomlando wethu. Kungathi imiqondo yethu ingenwe yilokhu izifundiswa ezikubiza ngokuthi: ‘Ukukhumbula ukukhohlwa noma ukukhohlwa ukukhumbula.’

    Kushayisa amahloni ukubona isakhiwo eBelgium esigcine umlando wempi yaseWaterloo. Lesi sakhiwo esiyisigcinimafa womlando wempi yaseWaterloo siyisikhumbuzo sokuthi izwekazi lase-Europe lisukaphi ngokomlando.     Impi yaseSandlwana yasishiya nezifundo eziyifa negugu elikhulu. Leli lifa esalishiyelwa yile mpi lisifundisa ukungabi amagwala, kodwa sibe nogqozi lokuzidela, futhi kuqunga isizwe isibindi, kusiqondise ekulweni nezimpi esisazobhekana nazo njengesizwe. Kubalulekile ukusho ukuthi ukubuyiswa nokuvuselwa kwamagugu esizwe kungebe umsebenzi ongabhekana noHulumeni kuphela. Lona ngumsebenzi obhekene nongenziwa yibo bonke abantu. Lokhu kufakazelwa isaga esidala esidumile sase-Afrika esithi, ‘isandla esisodwa singeze samboza isibhakabhaka, kungaba izandla eziningi ezingakwazi ukwenza lowo msebenzi’.
