Kuvele ukuthi kulo mhlangano bekumenywe amalungu eSigungu Sokuphatha Kuzwelonke (National Executive Committee) senhlangano kanye nongoti kulolu daba.  UMotlanthe ongesenasikhundla kuleli qembu ungene emhlanganweni ngegunya lokuba nguSihlalo wethimba iHigh Level Panel on Assessment of Key Legislation and Acceleration of Fundamental Change.  Ngokuthola koZul’azayithole iwuchithile umuthi inkonyane ngesikhathi lo mholi exhomondela ephinda eklina eshiya angalazi eBukhosini naseMakhosini.

Okwacaca enkulumeni kaMotlanthe wukuthi yize ayezungeza kepha ulaka lwakhe lwabe lubhekiswe kuZulu okuyiwo kuphela kuleli onohlaka elithi iThimba likaMotlanthe lwakhiwa ngezikhathi zobandlululo. Okumangazayo ngale nkulumo wukuthi akasabalwa uMnu uMandela naye owabe eyingxenye yokwakhiwa kwalo mthetho owaba ngowokugcina owashaywa yiSishayamthetho sakwaZulu, i-Ingonyama Trust Act (Act No 3KZ of 1994, ngaphansi kobuholi boMntwana wakwaPhindangene owayenguNdunankulu ngaleso sikhathi. Okunye okungasabalwa kulo mbiko weThimba likaMotlanthe nokukhuluma ezweni wukuthi ukushaywa kwalo mthetho olawula i-Ingonyama Trust wukuthi eminyakeni emithathu wabakhona, ngonyaka we-1997 iPhalamende elilawulwa ngaphansi kwedemokhrasi lawuchibiyela lo Mthetho. Lokhu kuchitshiyelwa kwaziwa ngokuthi yiKwaZulu-Natal Ingonyama Trust Amendment Act (Act No. 9 of 1997). Okugqamayo yinhloso yokunyunda kulunjaniswe lokho uZulu ahlale ethi yithonsi kulokho okwabe kubunjwe yiLembe nombuso owabe unonya wobandlululo.

Ikhuluma kwaDukuza ngonyaka owedlule eMkhosini Wokugubha Impilo Nobuqhawe BeLembe, IMbube yoMhlaba yakhumbuza labo ‘abagxibha uZulu’ ukuthi umhlaba ongaphansi kwe-Ingonyama Trust, awusona isihe uZulu asenzelwa nguHulumeni kepha wukubuyiswa kwesiphuku sakhe uZulu ayesemukwe ngamaKoloni kanye noHulumeni wamadlagusha.

Ukuthenwa kukaZulu

Nokho ngokukaMotlanthe neThimba lakhe embikweni owabe ungamakhasi angama-601, isiphakamiso sathi uZulu akemukwe lo mhlaba ancwetshwe “ukuze iKwaZulu-Natal ihambisane nenqubomgomo yezwe”. Lokhu isizwe sakuhumusha ngokuthi kuyimizamo kaHulumeni wedemokhrasi yokuthena uZulu. Lokhu kwakungeyona into entsha njengoba namaKoloni azama okufanayo kanjalo noHulumeni wobandlululo. Lokhu akugcinanga nje ngokukhalisa uNdunankulu kaZulu, uMtwana wakwaPhindangene izinyembezi emcimbini wokukhumbula Impi YaseSandlwana nonyaka nokuyilapho iZinyane likaMathole laba nesibibithwane likhalela uMnguni Omnyama, limbabazela ngomuga ogilwa ngabafo abaxakazisa imikhonto ngomhlaba kaZulu.

Ephawula ngomuzwa aba nawo nxa kukhulunywa ngenhlabathi, ikakhulukazi le engaphansi kwe-Ingonyama Trust, uMntwana wathi: “Lonke udaba lomhlaba luvusa uhlevane ikakhulukazi olwe-Ingonyama Trust abafuna ukuyiqeda. Lokhu kungithinte kakhulu kabi… Okungiphatha kabuhlungu wukuthi lokhu kwenziwa aboHlanga benyundela abanye boHlanga.”

NgoLwesihlanu olwedlule zingama-25 kuNhlaba eNanda kube ngesifanayo lapho uSihlalo weNdlu YaMakhosi KwaZulu-Natal, iNkosi yaseMadungeni, ifikelwa yisibibithwane nxa ikhuluma ngesenzo sokuchukuluzwa nguMotlanthe ejivaza uBukhosi naMakhosi enxenxa noKhongolose ukuba uziqhelelanise noBukhosi naMakhosi. INkosi uChiliza yabe ikhuluma emcimbini wokubungaza umsebenzi owaqalwa nguMnguni Omnyama ebambisene noHulumeni waKwaZulu-Natal ngowezi-2009 ngesikhathi evuselelela ukusokwa. Kulo mcimbi kwakubungazwa owesilisa wesigidi ukusokwa KwaZulu-Natal.

“Besimhlonipha uMotlanthe njengomuntu oke waphatha izinyangana njengoMengameli. Simhlonipha futhi ngesikhundla abekuso eqenjini lakhe kepha lokho angakuthathi njengokuthi siyiziwula singaMakhosi…. Angazochanasa ekhanda leNgonyama ngoba lokho ngeke sikuvume njengaMakhosi alapha kwaZulu.”

Akuyena yedwa uMdunge noma aMakhosi akwaZulu ababaze ukuklina kukaMothlante ngoba nenhlangano yaMakhosi oselokhu kwathi nhlo ihambisana noKhongolose ikhuze ibhadi. Inhlangano iContralesa ngomlomo weNkosi uNdevu ithe “UMotlanthe ubekhefuza imbude.”

UKhongolose usengaphesheya

Okucacayo ngalolu daba wukuthi kukhona abahleba endlebeni kaKhongolose ngenhloso yokuthi kwenzeke lokhu abakufisayo. Lokhu kwejwayelekile kupolitiki ukuba iqembu elibusayo kude kubakhona abahlebeza endlebeni yalo ngenhloso yokuleshela ukuze lakhe inqubomgomo ehambisana nabo. Kulokhu nje uMotlanthe akafihli ukuthi yena nahambisana nabo bafisa uKhongolose uye ngaphi.

Ngesikhathi ekhuluma emhlanganweni we-ANC uMontlanthe wayezama ukuqinisekisa ukuthi umhlangano we-NEC uvumelana nombono wakhe nokho okwamanje akunjalo. Ekhuluma ngesonto mhla zingama-27 kuNhlaba nonyaka ngaphandle komhlangano weNEC uNobhala Jikelele we-ANC uMnu u-Ace Magashule uthe okwabe kushiwo nguMotlanthe kungumbono weThimba lakhe hhayi kaKhongolose. Ube eseveza ukuthi uKhongolose wona usazohlela izingxoxo noBukhosi. Inkulumo kaMagashule ivumelana naleyo eyakhulunywa nguNdunankulu waKwaZulu-Natal, uMnu uMchunu ngesikhathi ethula inkulumongqangi yesifundazwe nonyaka. UMchunu waqhelelanisa uHulumeni wakhe nokuphawula kweThimba likaMotlanthe waveza nokuthi abakaze bona njengoHulumeni bathintwe kusenziwa lo mbiko. Lokhu kuyinto ayiphinda njalo nxa ekhuluma ngalolu daba. UMacingwane waveza ukuthi njengesifundazwe basazohlela umhlangano ozodingida olomhlaba ungakapheli unyaka.

Emasontweni edlule elaboHlanga libike nangokukhathazeka kwabathile ngaphakathi kuKhongolose ngokuthi udaba lomhlaba kaZulu “ lunobungozi” bokuhlanganisa imihlathi eyazanayo, okuNgongangezwe Lakhe, uMntwana wakwaPhindangene kanye noMsholozi. Nokwavela ngomthombo ukuthi kungadala inkinga.

Abanye abaholi bakaKhongolose abakhulume neBAYEDE bamsolile uMotlanthe ngendlela asingathe ngayo udaba oluthinta aMakhosi, ikakhulukazi KwaZulu-Natal.

“UComrade uMothlante uyamangaza ngoba lolu laka olubhekiswe eMakhosini asiluboni lubhekiswe kubelungu okuyibo abaphethe umhlaba. Silokhu sibhekiswa engxenye kuyekwa abelungu,” kusho omunye wabaholi abacashunwe yiBAYEDE ngeledlule.


Umhla ziyi-11 kuNhlangulana usuqoshiwe phansi

“Njengohleli eSihlalweni sikaZulu ngiwumvikeli nomlondolozi walokho okungumongo kaZulu. Okwamanje lolu daba ngisaluthatha ngomthetho ngethemba lokuthi nabaphakamisa ukuthi semukwe umhlaba bayawulandela umthetho. Angifisi ukulwa ngale komthetho ngoba lokho kuyosiphindisa emuva njengezwe. Engikwenzayo nokulandela umthetho akulona uphawu lobugwala kepha wukwazi ukuthi kuyingozi kangakanani ukulwa ngale komthetho”.

Lawa ngamagama akhulunywa ngoNgangezwe Lakhe ngesikhathi evula isiShayamthetho saKwaZulu-Natal nonyaka. La magama enza kwehla umoya kuZulu enhla nasezansi njengoba kwase kukhona abacela impi. Babesho nokuthi okaNdaba akayiphake.  Nokho umoya wokuthula Omnyama abezama ukuwutshala ngalolu daba ubukeka ufelwa ngamathe njengoba kuqhubeka ukugxijwa kukaZulu neSihlalo. Okwakamuva kuvele kuMnu uMotlanthe enkulumeni yakhe oyithele ngetshelentaba Ingonyama Trust, washiya angalazi eBukhosini.

Ukuphendula lokhu kuchulukuzwa iBAYEDE isingakuqinisekisa ukuthi sekuqoshwe uMsombuluko mhla ziyi-11 kuNhlangulana njengosuku lapho konke ngezinkulumo ezibhekiswe eSihlalweni kuyonqunywa khona. OMnyama ujube ibhodi le-Ingonyama ukuba lihlelele ukuza kwaMakhosi embizweni ezoba soNdini.

UMehluleli uJerome Ngwenya

Eqinisekisa lokhu loyo onguSihlalo weBhodi uMehluleli uNgwenya uthe: “Ngokuthunywa ISILO sesiqalile ukulungiselela ukuxhumana namaKhosi azo zonke izizwe ezakha ubuKhosi bukaZulu ukuqinisekisa ukuthi aphumelele ngobuningi bawo. Njengoba izwe lazi Omnyama usekugwebe kaningana ukufika lapha esicabanga ukuthi usekhona. Njengebhodi sesamukele ukuthi lolu daba sele luswe ngu-Ongangezwe Lakhe, yikho singasafisi ukuphawula ngalo kakhulu,” kuphetha uMtimande.

Kuyo inkulumo yakhe yokuvula iSishayamthetho omdala wakhumbuza ababekhona ukuthi uyini umhlaba kuZulu: “Njengoba umhlaba iJerusalem umqoka kwabakwa-Israel nabasePalestine, njengoba umhlaba oseMecca umqoka kwabenkolo yobuSulumane nakithi umhlaba ongaphansi kwe-Ingonyama Trust umqoka,” kubeka Ongangezwe Lakhe.

Ngalolu suku kulindeleke ukuba kuphendulwe ngqo ngodaba lomhlaba, zingahle zithathwe izihlangu zikaMotlanthe.


Umlando uyaziphinda

Ngokomlando oseSihlalweni noZulu wonke kabaqali ukuzithola kumele bathathe isinqumo sokuvikela lokho okuyifagugu lakhe. Umlando ukhomba ukuthi lesi sinqumo sasithathwa emuva kwemizamo eyehlukene yokugwema impi. Eminyakeni eli-139 eyedlule ngonyaka we-1878 owayeseSihlalweni noZulu baphoqwa ukuba benze isinqumo esagcina siguqule umlando waseNingizimu Afrika, e-Afrika nase-Europe.

Ngalowo nyaka, iNyathi empondo zimakhenkenene, iNgonyama uCetshwayo nesizwe bakwenza konke ukugwema ukuba ibhixane nabahlaseli. Ngeshwa abahlaseli base befungile ukuthi nakanjani uZulu bazomchukuluza kuze kube sekugcineni. Nembala bayisukela isobhalwini lwayo ilumbo ladla umninilo yadumelana eSandlwana.  Ngonyaka we-1879 uZulu akabhekananga nabahlaseli baseNingizimu Afrika kuphela kepha wakhandaniselwa nangamasosha amaNgisi kanye nalawo ayevela eCanada, eNew Zealand nase-India.

KuZulu lena kwakuyimpi yokugcina indoda engayifela, impi yokuvikela ifagugu lesizwe, inhlabathi engumama nobaba kumuntu wakwaZulu. Ukubona ukuthi abafo bakhomba iSihlalo ngomunwe kwenza izinsizwa ziqome iliba kunokuba kwenzeke zisaphila, ngoba kwabe kukhona ukuvumelana ukuthi nxa kuguqulwa isimiso soBukhosi kuthathwa umhlaba kuyobe kuthenwa iNgonyama nokusho ukubhubha kukaZulu ababemazi. Izinsizwa zabuza ngazwi linye ukuthi nxa zikuyeka lokhu, kuyothi mhla zifika koyisemkhulu ‘zikhombe ziphi izibazi”.

Le mpi kwakungeyokuvikela ifagugu, kungeyesizwe. Yikho namhla ibikwa kuZinyandezulu Ondini kwakukhona zonke izinhlaka zoBukhosi.  Phakathi kwezinduna nezikhulu ezaziyobika eMakhosini kwangungoMnyamana Buthelezi owayenguNdunankulu weNgonyama uCetshwayo, uMahlathi kaSojaba Nkwanyana, uNtshingwayo kaMahole Khoza, uMbopha kaWolizibi Hlabisa, uMfusi kaManyala Mdletshe, uHhemulana kaMbhangazeli Sibiya, uMvubu kaNgqengelele Buthelezi, uSekethwayo kaNhlaka Mdlalose, uNtunzwa kaNhlaka Mdlalose, uSitshaluza kaMamba Ntshangase, uSihayo kaXhongo Ngobese, uMpandamana kaNdlela Ntuli, uPhalane kaMdinwa Mkhwanazi, uSigcwelegcwele kaMhlekehleke Ngema, uSomopho kaSikhala Mthembu nabanye.

Sekubikelwe iZinyandezulu eMakhosini uMkhumbi weMpi kaZulu waphikelela eSandlwane uhuba uthi: ‘Sinike abafo!’ (oqalayo) kuthi abavumayo basho kudume izintaba bethi ‘Imkhonto wena weNdlovu enamandla’.  Babebodwa ababesho elijulile langesikhathi seNgonyama uDingane elalithi: ‘Woza langa lashona, lasho kuleziya ntaba,’ sebesho khona ukuthi ziyodela izintaba eziyodla bona.

Ngonyaka ozayo kuphela iminyaka eli-140 uZulu adela konke ukuvikela lokho okuyifagugu lakhe, umhlaba. Njengoba kwaba njalo eminyakeni eyedlule oseSihlalweni naMakhosi bade bevika ngenhloso yokugwema umbhedukazwe.

Kusesekuseni ukuqagula ukuthi ngabe bayophumelela yini ukuwugwema umbhedukazwe. Okusobala wukuthi okwenzakalayo kusuka eziphakamisweni zokuthi uZulu akemukwe umhlaba okungaguqula isimiso soBukhosi. Kuya ekuhumusheni ukuthi ngabe lokhu kusho ukuthini ekusaseni likaZulu nxa kuguqulwa isimiso soBukhosi kanjalo nokugqama kwendawo yasOndini. Kubukeka sengathi umlando usaziphinda.
